A little portable operation

Clouds looked ominous, but didn't do anything. The "remote" spot I picked was a bit more well traveled than I thought! Heard Italy, Kuwait, Bosnia, Germany but wasn't able to pick any up. Better luck next time!

Their was proubably to many high weeds around the antenna sucking up your output, of courst the bands were in and out today also.

Yeah, they probably weren't helping much. From what I heard, 20m was just cranking...and when I powered up the rig, the antenna was tuned for 20m and the radio was on 40m and signals were just booming in. I had several stations on 20m that were 20 over. Must be a little better conditions up here?

Good time Had a good time at the QSO party. Worked Cuba and Jamaica (new one for me) and made a late night contact with a guy in Corpus Christi, where he said I was 20 over. Not bad for a little vertical on 20m and 50w! Michael IMG00760.JPG IMG00759.JPG
